Nella’s Wings is a beautiful and gentle exploration of a child's dream to fly.
Nella never speaks but she loves to draw. Her drawings guide us into her imagination where we visit flying creatures that live in the snow, the desert, the sea and the garden.
Using table top puppets and beautiful shadow theatre Nella with the help of her audience will find a way to fly. Nella’s Wings is without text and is supported by recorded music and exquisite live singing by the solo performer, Sue Wallace one of Australia’s leading puppeteers.
Nella’s Wings received a Special Children’s Award at the World Carnival of Puppetry in Thailand in 2014 and awarded for Puppetry Excellence in Subotica, Serbia 2017. It premiered in Izmir, Turkey in 2013 and has since travelled to festivals in Indonesia, Mexico, Thailand, Serbia and Romania as well as numerous performances at festivals and events in Australia.
